Burbage Surgery - Out of Hours

Our Out of Hours service is provided by NEWDOC based near Accident and Emergency at the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton. Doctors from this practice join with doctors from Hinckley, Nuneaton and Atherstone in providing an out of hours service. Any patient requiring medical attention when the surgery is closed will be asked to contact the Doctors on call service at the George Eliot Hospital on 024 76865300. The call will be passed on to a doctor. based at the hospital and either a home visit or an appointment at the Emergency centre may be offered. The duty doctor may not be a member of this practice but will always be a doctor from the local area. The practice uses an answer phone to receive out of hours calls. This gives the telephone number for you to ring NEWDOC directly.

NHS Direct is a 24 hour telephone helpline. The helpline is staffed by nurses who can help reassure you and give you telephone advice and health information. Anyone can ring NHS Direct at any time for health advice.
